Cornelia de Lange Syndrome Canada is a family support organization that exists to ensure an early and accurate diagnosis of CdLS throughout Canada, promote research into the causes and manifestations of the syndrome, and enable individuals, families, friends and professionals to make informed decisions throughout their lifetimes and thus plan for the affected person's present and future. CdLS Canada is firmly committed to public education, family support, the dissemination and publication of information regarding CdLS, and the coordination of medical cards and social services for those affected by the syndrome.
"Conferences & Medical Days"
CdLS Canada is the Canadian resource for news, information and contacts, and it is the host both from a national perspective with a bi-annual national conference and medical day and regionally with CdLS conferences and medical days presented across the country on an annual basis. At these events families are given the chance to meet privately with specialists in medical and behavioural fields where specific answers to pertinent questions about the syndrome can be gained. Seminars and lectures are held during these events allowing the families to exchange information and learn about the newest breakthroughs on research and life issues.
